ロング・ドゥレーショナル・パフォーマンスの研究、実践しているコレクティブ「Durational Performance Project Tokyo (DPPT) ＊ 」は、この夏、海外からの2人の経験豊富なアーティストをご紹介することになりました。
また、この2人の紹介に先立って、DPPTメンバーの石田高大によるワークショップ、パフォーマンスのイベントも行われます。
このプロジェクトでは、現代における私たちの時間感覚、そしてその身体性について、パフォーマンスアートという方法を用い、問いかけ、研究、そして実験、実践しています。まだまだ、始めたばかりのプロジェクト。どうぞ、ご高覧、ご参加、ご体験いただければと思います。

Durational Performance Project Tokyo (DPPT)*, a collective that researches and practices Long Durational Performance, will be hosting an event this summer to introduce two experienced artists from overseas. Additionally, prior to the event featuring these two artists, there will be a workshop and performance by DPPT member Ishida Takahiro.
In these continuous events, we are using the method of performance art to question, research, experience and practice our sense of time and its physicality in our time. We hope you will visit, participate and experience it.

石田高大 Ishida Takahiro (DPPTメンバー)
1995年富山県富山市生まれ。2020年、東京大学農学部環境資源科学課程緑地環境学専修卒。2020年頃より、現代美術への関心を強め、主にパフォーマンスを中心とした作品の制作を開始。2023年より、IPAMIAのメンバー。 制作の中では、自己同一性や、精神と身体との関係性に関心が強く、特に自身の経験や内面の世界からパフォーマンスの着想を得ている。
「再開発」は、既存の用途があった場所で、新たな建築を行うことを指します。人は生きていく中、己が大事にするものを新たな居場所のため、時に崩します。そして再構築していく。本作品では、鑑賞者にアーティストを、任意の場所へと動かさせるパフォーマンスを行います。多くの芸術で描かれることの多い街と人の移り変わりを、時間、身体、他者とのコンタクトのあるパフォーマンスを通じて描くことを考えています。
Takahiro Ishida was born in 1995 in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture, Japan. He graduated from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Agriculture, specializing in Landscape Environmental Science in the Environmental Resource Science program, in 2020. Around 2020, he developed a interest in contemporary art, primarily creating performance-based works. Since 2023, he has been a research member of IPAMIA. In his work, he is particularly interested in issues of self-identity and the relationship between the mind and body, often drawing inspiration for his performances from his own experiences and inner world.
“Redevelopment” is the act of constructing new buildings on a site that has pre-existing uses. In life, people sometimes destroy what they value to create new spaces. Then, they rebuild. In this artwork, the audience will participate in a performance by moving the artist to any chosen location. Through performance involving time, the body, and contact with others, I aim to capture the transitions of cities and people, which are often portrayed in many art forms.

ポール・クイヤール Paul Couillard
カナダ、トロント市ベースに活躍するパフォーマンス・アーティストで、キュレーター、研究者でもあります。ヨーク大学のコミュニケーション・アンド・カルチャー・プログラムで博士号を取得。主な研究分野は、サイト・レスポンシブ、ドュレーション・パフォーマンス、感覚、経験、知識、精神を共有する器としての身体の探求を通したトラウマへの取り組みなどです。パートナーであり共同制作者でもあるエド・ジョンソンとともに、これまでに26カ国で300を超えるパフォーマンス作品を創作してきました。1993年から2007年までFADOパフォーマンス・アート・センターのパフォーマンス・アート・キュレーターを務め、また同市にて1997年から現在も毎年開催している7a*11d国際パフォーマンス・アート・フェスティバルの創設キュレーターでもあります。
今回、東京で行うパフォーマンスは、24時間の間、何も話さないという《Silence》のシリーズの最新バージョンの上演です。クイヤール氏が、これまで出会った複数人のアーティストの作品とのconversationとしてのアクションをします。その間、観客との様々な関わりも予定しています。
A Canadian performance artist, curator, and scholar with a PhD from York University's Communications and Culture program. He has created well over 300 performance works in 26 countries, often with his husband and collaborator, Ed Johnson. Couillard was the Performance Art Curator for FADO Performance Art Centre from 1993 until 2007, and is a founding co-curator of the 7a*11d International Festival of Performance Art, ongoing since 1997. Paul's key areas of creative research include site-responsiveness, durational performance, understanding the concept of presence from the perspective of a thinking body, the role of gesture in the transmission and conservation of performance art practices, and addressing trauma through explorations of our bodies as shared vessels of sensation, experience, knowledge and spirit.
The performance to be presented in Tokyo is the new version of the series “Silence”, in which he is not speaking for a period of 24 hours. He will act as a conversation with the work of several of the artists Mr. Couillard has met so far. During this time, the audience engagement will also develop in various ways.

ドロテア・セロア Dorothea Seror
ミュンヘン（ドイツ）近郊在住で、学際的アーティストとして国際的に活動。美術を学び、ダンスとボディ・セラピーの訓練を受けました。政治、社会、環境、そして彼女自身の経歴などの問題を扱い、パフォーマンスにおいては、高い身体能力も発揮しています。地球上の資源に頼り続ける生活の代わりに、彼女は、しばしば廃棄物となった衣類の素材の再利用を通して、作品を制作します。さらに、自身の過去の作品も再利用しており、その結果、彼女の作品は常に更新され続けているのです。彼女のパフォーマンスやインスタレーションでは、観客はいつも深く関わっています。
彼女は現在、心臓の先天性心疾患の手術を控えており、同じく、彼女の人生における「心臓＝愛」についても、なんらかの「手術」をしなくてはならない時期が来ていると言います。今回の東京では、彼女が拾ってきた布の端切れや、観客が持ち寄る「思い入れ」のある小物を使って、ハートの形をした「お守りのような」物を一緒に作ります。もちろん、持ってきてくれた人へのお土産にもなります。和やかな雰囲気の中で、観客の皆さんとものづくりをすることを楽しみにしています。
Lives near Munich(Germany) and works internationally as a multidisciplinary artist. She studied fine arts and was trained in dance and body therapy. Her works show high physical exertion and deal with current issues of politics, society, environment and her own biography.
Instead of relying on resources of the planet she makes use of (textile) trash and recycles used objects to create her artworks. She also reuses relics of her own artworks. As a result, her work is in a constant process of renewal. The audience is deeply involved in her performances and creation of installations.
She is currently preparing for surgery for a congenital heart defect and says she is also in the process of having some 'surgery' on her personal heart (love). This time, in Tokyo, she will use found (textile)scraps, and other small objects brought by the audience that are dear to them to create together small objects in the shape of a heart, "something like a charm". Of course, these will be souvenirs for those who brought the objects. She looks forward to making these objects with the audience together, exchanging kind gestures.
Durational Performance Project Tokyo (DPPT)
DPPTは、東京をベースに、ロング・ドゥレーショナル・パフォーマンスを研究、実践するコレクティブで、2024年1月から始動。パフォーマンスアートの動画アーカイヴを運営するIndependent Performance Artists’ Moving Images Archive（IPAMIA、2016年設立）をプラットフォームに、美術家の山﨑千尋、文筆家の平岡希望、パフォーマンスアーティストの石田高大、北山聖子、山岡さ希子が協力して設立しました。
ロング・ドゥレーショナル・パフォーマンスとは、通常の印象よりも、かなりの長時間に行なう、身体負荷の大きめのパフォーマンスを指します。過去にも洋の東西を問わず、それにあたる表現は記録/記憶されていますが、そのような言葉で指し示すようになったのは、おそらく2000年前後ではないかと思われます。このプロジェクトでは、それに関わる資料をリサーチしながら、ワークショップ、ディスカッション、レクチャー、パフォーマンス、テキスト・ライティング、展覧会（公演）を積み重ねています。本イベントは、東京・神保町のオルタナティブスペースPARAと共同で企画しています。
DPPT, based in Tokyo, is a collective dedicated to researching and practicing Long Durational Performance.
DPPT was founded in January 2024, by artist Yamazaki Chihiro, writer Hiraoka Nozomu and from IPAMIA（Independent Performance Artists’ Moving Images Archive, established in 2016), performance artists Ishida Takahiro, Kitayama Seiko, and Yamaoka Sakiko.
Long durational performance refers to a physically demanding performance that is carried out for a significantly longer time than usual performances. While such expressions have been documented globally throughout history, the term itself likely emerged around the early 2000s.
Exploring relevant materials, this project engages in research, workshops, discussions, lectures, performances, text writing, and exhibitions . The event is collaboratively organized with the alternative space PARA in Tokyo-Jimbocho.
